How to make a member a moderator of a category in SMF

While it appears there is currently no way to make a member a moderator of an entire category in SMF, you can make the member a moderator of each board within the category. Click the Admin tab and then going to Forum -> Boards -> Modify boards. Then click where it says “Modify” next to the board within the category you want to edit. How to Stop Spam-bot Registrations on SMF

To help protect your SMF 2.x forum from spam-bots that search for forums to post spam on, go to Admin -> Configuration -> Security and Moderation -> Anti-Spam. Setting max upload size for your SMF Forum

By default the Simple Machines forums are set to allow only very small attachments, and the max folder size is set very low as well. If you ever get an error that the upload file is full, you can increase the max upload size per post and max folder size (that holds all the uploads) in Admin -> “Attachments and Avatars” (under Forum). How to change Forum Name in SMF

You can change the Forum Name in Admin -> Server Settings (on the left under Configuration) Scroll down and you’ll see “Forum Title” where you can change the name be sure not to change anything else as some of those settings can disable the forum.
