To invite new friends to read your private WordPress website, click on the Users tab on your WordPress dashboard and then click Add New.¬† When you’re all done, click¬†Send this password to the new user by email to invite the new user.

As you can see, making your WordPress blog private is not that difficult to do. Remember, WordPress is all about sharing your ideas and thoughts with a global online audience. If you change your mind and decide you would like to make your blog and website public again, all you have to do is change your Site Visibility Options back to Allow search engines to index this site under Reading >> Settings on your blog’s dashboard and deactivate the “Private Only” plugin.
